Myelodysplastic syndrome with prominent dysplasia of the erythroid lineage. A variety of shape abnormalities, including macrocytosis, microcytosis, stomatocytes and tear drop cells can be seen. The haemoglobin of this patient was 5 mmol/L. In addition, hypogranulation and hypersegmentation of granulocytes was seen.
