leukocytes, of which 80% are blasts. Large pale areas can be seen in the core of the nucleus, an abnormality also known as 'cup like'. This abnormality is associated with FLT3-ITD, -TKD and NPM1 mutations. Unfortunately, due to a very poor prognosis in this patient, more extensive diagnostics are not available.
