Cells of a patient with a Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia (CMML) combined with the hemophagocytic syndrome (HLH, Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis). Even though some of these cells have a morphologic blastic appearance, they are not blasts immunophenotypically (CD34-, CD117-), but rather immature monocytes.
