B-ALL - Slide 4
An acute lymphatic leukemia combined with prominent presence of aberrant erythroblasts, some aberrant monocytes, hypogranular neutrophils and macrothrombocytes. Several months prior to the presence of blasts, an MDS or CMML was considered because of the dysplasia and monocytosis.
Progression from an MDS or CMML to an AML is not uncommon, but transformation to a lymphatic form of acute leukemia is fairly rare. The exact cause is not known. The total leukocyte count was
15⋅109/L
. The number of erythroblasts 4.7⋅109/L
.
