Impressive images of an acute myeloid leukemia with a hyperleukocytosis of

leukocytes (98%), without any obvious lineage differentiation. Molecular diagnostics showed an FLT3 and NPM1 mutation. Due to the presence of APL-associated 'angel wings' and a very high leukocyte count, the t(15;17) mutation was tested for as well, but was not found.
