AMML - Slide 4
Acute leukemia with blasts that have monocytic characteristics. A couple of cells show thick, azurophilic granules, which makes a myeloid origin plausible. In addition, nuclei with an 'Angel Wing' shape are found, which may be suggestive of an acute promyelocytic leukemia. However, the flow cytometry results point towards an AML with monocytic differentiation. Molecular diagnostics show an FLT3 and NPM1 mutation.
