Splenic B-cell lymphoma/leukaemia with prominent nucleoli (SBPLN) is a new entity since the 2022 WHO criteria. Previously, this form of leukemia/lymphoma was known as Hairy Cell variant (HCLv). The malignant lymphocytes, like HCL, have hairy cytoplasmic protrusions. In contrast however, the nucleus displays a single nucleolus. CD11c and CD103 are positive, but CD25 is negative.
