Nucleoli
A nucleolus is a white, round clearing inside the nucleus of a cell and looks somewhat similar to a vesicle or blister. Sometimes a nucleolus is described as an "eye". The nucleolus contains components for producing ribosomes. The finding of nucleoli is a sign of cellular immaturity and thus, in a sense, is appropriate for a blast cell.
Blasts often exhibit one to two nucleoli, but they can also be completely absent. Thus, a cell without a nucleolus can still be a blast.
