Faggot Cells
Faggot cells contain multiple Auer rods bundled together into a group. There is no formal record of exactly how many Auer rods make a "bundle". Finding these inclusions in promyelocytes is indicative of an acute promyelocyte leukemia. With forced maturation of these malignant promyelocytes under the influence of vitamin A, these bundles can also be seen in the more mature forms of the neutrophilic granulocyte.
In other languages, these cells may be described as "faggot cells". The term points to the Old English unit for bundles of branches (wikipedia).
