Pseudo Chediak-Higashi
Pseudo Chediak-Higashi granules (PCH) are large, eosinophilic cytoplasmic inclusions that occur in rare cases of acute or chronic myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome. In extremely rare cases, they may also be found in acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
The granules are called "pseudo" because they are morphologically very similar to the granules found in the hereditary Chediak-Higashi syndrome. Relatively little fundamental research has been done on the origin of the granules, but are likely formed by fusion of smaller granules similar to auer rods.
