Promonocyte
A promonocyte has, relative to a mature monocyte, a somewhat darker blue/gray cytoplasm. The nucleus has characteristic thin lines created by the lobes of the nucleus still being folded over each other. The nucleus may look "brain" shaped.
Promonocytes are usually counted as blast ("blast equivalent")
