Polychromatic erythrocyte
Polychromatic erythrocytes are gray-blue in color due to the presence of ribosomal material. Polychromatic erythrocytes are reticulocytes, but not all reticulocytes are polychromatic. Their presence indicates the premature release of erythrocytes from the bone marrow.
