Proerythroblast
Synonyms: Rubriblast, Pronormoblast
Proerythroblasts are the youngest erythroid progenitors. The nucleus is centrally located, has a fine chromatin pattern and is often almost perfectly round. The cytoplasm is deeply basophilic and has a dark border. The cell may have one to two "ears" .
