Basophilic erythroblast
Synonyms: Normoblast, NRBC
Basophilic erythroblasts are large cells with a dark, round nucleus and very dark blue cytoplasm. The nucleus, unlike that of many other blasts, is slightly coarser in structure. Basophilic erythroblasts are sometimes difficult to distinguish from other blasts.
